She’s Off to a New Adventure!!

Thirty years of service and adventures were celebrated by the friends, family, and coworkers of Title I/Reading teacher, Mrs. Sandra Carpenter on Monday, January 25th.  Mrs. Carpenter will be entering a much deserved rest and retirement at the end of January.  Sandra is best known at North Cove for the fun filled Reading Adventures that she has hosted for students and families over the years.  Her service and dedication to students and staff are so appreciated!  We wish her many happy and healthy days with her husband, JW and family.
We hope you enjoy your new adventure!

Dedicated to Fairness, Dignity, Equality, and Excellence

Through a joint effort of the faculty and community of North Cove School the following philosophy has evolved:

We believe that
love and respect for an individual is the basis of a sound educational program.  To love an individual means to accept him as he is and to
proceed to help him develop his talents and interests with respect to his individuality.

We recognize education as
a means of developing an appreciation of one's heritage, promoting democratic principles, uplifting character, improving a positive
self-image, and preparing individuals for their place in a life of work
and leisure.  To meet these needs of our children, we feel we must provide positive experiences in problem solving, decision making, and social communications.

We believe that
we should provide a program for developing the basic skills that will
enable each child to recognize that he is an individual of dignity, worth,
and potential.  The program should be flexible enough so that each
child can and will progress according to his own abilities.

We will continue to combine the best resources of the children,
school personnel, parents, and community in order to provide
an environment suitable for the intellectual, social, physical,
spiritual, and moral growth of each child.
